DECREE AND DECLARE GOD'S WORD (PART 1)
John 14:13-14 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
Jesus is not saying here that whatever Christians ask for they will get answered, as James says Christians must learn to say “if the Lord wills”. When our heart aligns with God and we seek Him first, we start praying for His will to come into this world, trusting that He know what is best.
Romans 8:27-28 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
How we know God’s will, is by listening to the Holy Spirit. We must not only pray for God’s will, but do the will of God in our lives, as Jesus said, not my will.
Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
The overriding goal of the Holy Spirit is to carry out the will of God in our lives. Not our personal wills. Whatever we say or do must glorify God through the Son. We must accept what God wants. All glory belongs to God the Father. If and when we pray whether it be mental, physical, or spiritual, if it doesn’t give God glory, we won’t be getting what we are asking for.
James 4:14-15 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
We know he hears us and we believe it is His will. Whatever we ask presents that fact that we are assured of this. Even though we might see an immediate answer to our prayer, we know that we have the petitions that we desire of him, providing it is His will. Always remembering in our petition, it has to glorify the Father through the Son for it to be His will.
Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Declare means to make clear, make known or to proclaim. Before you can declare something, there has to be a something.
Dan 6:7, 9, 6:26 7 All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.
9 Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.
26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
Writing a decree is for establishing a written law. For instance, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego would not worship the golden image of the king Nebuchadnezzar. He threw them into the furnace. He had written a decree for the people to bow to the image of him. The king wrote a decree, declared the decree and rewrote another decree to cancel the first decree.
The mosaic law by Moses was a decree of law by God the Father. The stone tablets were to make clear, or make known or to proclaim or declare, that this is the law.
Psalms 103: 18-20 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. 19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all. 20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
Every demon in hell must bow tot that name. And every angel in heaven will heed Gods anointed word, spoken in the name of Jesus. As we begin to speak and decree the confessions of Gods anointed word, expect your life to be transformed by the power of the name of Jesus.
As you confess the decrees of God’s word you will be putting the heavenly father in remembrance of his promises to you. God’s word promises that he will contend “stand with us” together with you, for your breakthrough or your victory.
John 14 :25-26 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Jesus is saying, the Holy Spirit will teach and guide us: He does this in many ways. It is so important to have your heart open to hear from the spirit of God: He was sent here to help us.
Job 22: 28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
Make a firm foundation. I believe with all my heart, that as we decree these words of confession over our lives, we will see God transform our circumstances for the better. Since we have a role to play in releasing the Kingdom of God, and the blessings that the Lord has preordained for us to walk in that we can find how to activate Gods supernatural blessings and favor in our lives by decreeing and declaring His word.
Mark 11: 22-24 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Jesus is saying, have faith in God, whoever says, (speaks, decrees, confesses or prophesies) and believes, and not doubt, but believes those things he says, (speaks, decrees or prophesies) will be done, will have whatever he says. He, Jesus, said: “say” three times. Evidently it must be very important to speak the words. To a believer it should never matter what it looks like in the natural realm, if the word says “I am blessed, I was healed, I am prosperous, then make a decision to speak it into your life. Decree and declare the grace of God into your life in the name of Jesus.
Sometimes the enemy uses words against us. That is why decreeing Gods anointed word over our life is so powerful and life changing. God’s word nullifies and triumphs over the enemy’s words every time. Words are very powerful. We need to be very careful. If you confess poverty, the devil will work double time to keep you poor. If you say that you have a sickness or weakness, the devil will gladly give you a big helping of sickness or weakness. Never confess or say you are sick, always say, I am battling sickness. Never say you’re are living in poverty, always say… I am battling poverty.
Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
This is so powerful; it gives us the right to condemn every tongue which rises against us in judgment. We even need to resist the tongue of those in the medical profession. Be careful and do not repeat everything that the doctor diagnosed you with. If you must say something say, I’m battling so and so. Continue decreeing and declaring Gods word.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
Have faith that God loves you and wants what is best for you, then make the following declarations.
2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
Declare Decree #1- I shall serve the Lord with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything that you shall give to me this year. Thank you, Lord. God will generously provide all you need. Then you will Always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Decree 2- Thank you Lord, that I shall be kept in perfect peace, and double prosperity as I keep my mind and spirit focused upon you. I choose to trust you today Father.
We can never avoid strife in the world around us, but when we fix our thoughts on God we can know perfect peace even in turmoil.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Decree 3- Lord I will daily cast my cares upon you because you care for me. Right now Father I cast these cares upon you. (Tell Him about your concerns or worries of the day.)
Carrying your worries stresses and daily struggles by yourself shows that you are not fully trusting God with your Life: don’t submit to circumstances, but to the Lord, who controls circumstances.
3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Decree 4- this will be a year of double peace, double grace and double anointing, and I will prosper and be in health as my soul prospers. I will prosper in all aspects of my life.
Today people still fall short in their thinking. God is concerned with your body and your soul. As a Christian we should neither neglect nor indulge for Gods service.
Psalms 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
Decree 5- I purpose in my heart and spirit, to let my words be few in my conversations. I will not enter into vain speaking or foolish speaking today, Lord. May the meditations of my heart and the words of my mouth be acceptable in your sight, oh Lord; My strength and my Redeemer.
As you begin each day, determine that Gods love will guide what you say and how you think. Let your words be few.
Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Decree 6- the Fathers divine love, or agape love, has been shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit. I will walk in the God kind of love at all times, this day and each day this year. I will love everyone who crosses my path today and I choose to walk in love, because the love of God has been poured out in my heart by the Holy Spirit. I will follow the example of Jesus and love as he loved.
This expectation will not disappoint us because all three members of the trinity are involved in this. The Father and the Son send the Holy Spirit to fill our life with Love to enable us to live by His power. With all this loving care, how can we do less than serve Him completely.
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Decree 7- Lord I purpose in my heart to forgive my enemies, who seem to persecute me. I ask that you would bless (name) In a great and mighty way. (Ask the Holy Spirit to help you with this if you cannot name anyone who has set themselves against you as an enemy).
Jesus asks us to love our enemies. If you love your enemies and treat them well, you are truly showing that Jesus is Lord of your life. (This does not include Satan and his fallen angels.)
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Decree 8- Lord I purpose in my heart to seek first the Kingdom of God and your righteousness in my life. I will seek your Kingdom and your righteousness today and every day. Father I ask that you will begin to give me more revelation about what your righteousness encompasses.
As we seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, all these things: salvation, prosperity, health, wisdom, love, peace and Joy shall be added to you.
Jude 17-21 17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. 19These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, 21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Decree 9- I purpose to build myself up by praying in the spirit today. I will nourish my spirit, soul and body everyday by praying in the Holy Spirit.
If you are not baptized in the holy spirit, just pray in your normal fashion, God knows your heart.
Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Decree 10- Lord I ask you for my inheritance today. Father I am your child, and an heir of your kingdom, I am a joint heir with Jesus Christ. Father I thank you for these privileges today, I ask lord for you to release my supernatural heritage as a partaker of the inheritance of the saints of the light. Because Jesus has delivered me from the power of darkness, and translated me into your kingdom of heaven. Lord, I ask you for the fullness of Christ’s atonement of the cross of Calvary to come forth in my life and circumstances today.
Everything God gives to his Son, Jesus Christ is our too. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. What kind of suffering are we to endure? In many parts of the world, Christians face the same severe circumstances as the ones in Jesus’ day. (The disciples)
Colossians 1:12-13 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Matthew 28: 18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Decree 11- Thank you Father for delivering me from darkness into light and into the kingdom of Jesus, your son. Guide me into sharing this gospel with others .
Praying this prayer from this very spot will spring forth a great move and work of God that will impact the whole earth for Christs’ glory. Jesus said, we are not all evangelists in the formal sense, but we have all received gifts that we can use to help fulfill the great commission, as we obey, we have comfort in the knowledge that Jesus is always with us.
Isaiah 43:26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
Decree 12- Lord forgive me for wearying you with my sins and iniquities. Thank you, Father, that you do not remember my sins and iniquities, Lord let us contend together. I put you in remembrance of your promises to forgive and restore me Father. I state my case Lord may we contend together, Lord that you may acquit me in your tender mercy and grace.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Decree 13- Lord I confess my sins to you today. Father I thank you that you see me through the atoning blood of Jesus. You forgive me of my sins and you cleanse me and make me righteous in your sight. I am righteous and I am made holy by the blood of Jesus. I am I right standing with you Father. I thank you for that today.
Even as Christians we still sin, and still need to confess. This kind of confession is not offered to gain God’s acceptance, but to remove the barrier to fellowship that our sin has put between us and God. Words can impact our lives more than we know. Try paying close attention and speaking positive and blessings and watch your life shift.
Stay in the word,
